Hand thrown white and blue glazed serving dish for olives or other picky bits — this useful dish has a central container to hold toothpicks, a middle ring that's a tidy place to pop your denuded olive pits (all very refined!), and a larger outer bowl to hold delicious olives. Large enough for nibbles with drinks and cocktails, or set on the dinner table for your guests to dip in at their leisure. Although I've designed this as an olive dish, I think it would work really well for dips and other party food too. This lovingly handcrafted dish is as much a piece of art as it is a stylish addition to your home.

How it's made
Every piece is thrown by hand by me, in my home studio in Bedfordshire. Each pot is shaped, left to dry to leather-hard, trimmed, and handles pulled and carefully attached as necessary. Once fully dry, each piece is bisque fired to over 1000°C and cooled for around 12 hours, then glazed (with up to 8 brushed-on coats of glaze to build those painterly effects). Finally, the piece undergoes a glaze firing to 1180°C, followed by another 12-hour cool-down. Start to finish, the whole process can take 3 to 6 weeks, a little longer in colder, damper months.

A note on handmade variation
Because each piece is made by hand, you may notice small differences in glaze and size from dish to dish — that's not a flaw, it's the joy of owning something one-of-a-kind.

Caring for your dish
This dish is dishwasher and microwave safe for everyday ease, but hand washing will keep the glaze looking its best over the long run — totally your call!
