Each pot is shaped, left to dry to leather-hard, trimmed, and finished by hand. Once fully dry, it's fired to over 1000°C and cooled for about 24 hours, then glazed — sometimes with up to 8 brushed-on coats to build those painterly effects — before a final firing to 1180°C and another 24-hour cool-down.
